This Privacy Policy explains how Intruder Snap collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our Android application.

2. What Intruder Snap Does
Intruder Snap provides security and anti-theft functionality. When the user enables monitoring, the app runs a foreground protection service and shows an active notification. After the phone is locked and unlocked, the app may capture a front-camera photo to help the device owner identify who unlocked the phone.
The app is intended only for use by the owner or authorized user of the device. It should not be used to secretly monitor, stalk, harass, or capture images of other people without a lawful basis.
3. Information We Access or Store
Camera / Intruder Selfie
When monitoring is enabled, Intruder Snap may access the front camera after a device unlock event to capture an intruder selfie. This photo is used to create a security report for the device owner.
Device Unlock Event
The app detects Android unlock-related events to know when the device has been unlocked while protection is active.
Location Data
If the user grants location permission, the app may attach the device location to an intruder report. This helps the user understand where the device was when the unlock activity occurred. Location access is used only for security reporting inside the app.
Recently Opened Apps / Usage Access
If the user grants Android Usage Access permission, the app may show recently opened apps around the time of the unlock event. This helps the device owner understand possible activity after the device was unlocked.
Notification Permission
On supported Android versions, the app requests notification permission so it can show the active foreground protection notification while monitoring is enabled.
4. How We Use Information
Intruder Snap uses accessed information for the following purposes:
- To detect when the phone is unlocked while monitoring is enabled.
- To capture and store an intruder selfie for security reporting.
- To show the time and optional location of a security event.
- To show optional recently opened app activity if Usage Access is granted.
- To provide anti-theft and device protection features.
- To show a foreground notification while monitoring is active.
5. Data Storage and Sharing
Intruder Snap stores intruder reports, photos, timestamps, optional location details, and optional app usage information locally on the user's device.
We do not sell user data. We do not share intruder selfies, location data, or usage access data with advertisers or data brokers.
In the current version, Intruder Snap does not upload intruder reports or photos to our own server. If a future version adds cloud backup, account sync, analytics, or remote storage, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety section will be updated before such features are released.
6. Third-Party Services
Intruder Snap may rely on Android system services and Google Play services for permissions, app delivery, and platform security. The app may also use standard mobile development libraries required to run the application.
This Privacy Policy does not cover third-party websites, app stores, or services that are not controlled by us.
7. Permissions Used by the App
- Camera: Used to capture an intruder selfie after unlock when monitoring is enabled.
- Foreground Service: Used to keep protection active and show a visible notification.
- Notifications: Used to display the active monitoring notification.
- Location: Used only if granted, to attach location to a security report.
- Usage Access: Optional special permission used to show recently opened apps around unlock activity.
- Boot Completed: Used to restore protection after device restart where supported by Android.
8. User Control and Consent
Monitoring is not enabled automatically. The user must turn monitoring on from inside the app. The app also displays an active foreground notification while protection is enabled.
Users can disable monitoring at any time from inside the app. Users can also revoke permissions from Android system settings.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Intruder reports and photos are stored locally on the user's device until the user deletes them, clears app data, uninstalls the app, or uses any available in-app delete/clear option.
Because reports are stored locally in the current version, we do not have access to delete them remotely. Users can delete locally stored app data through Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect data handled by the app. Intruder reports are stored in the app's private local storage where supported by Android. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and users should protect their devices with a strong screen lock.
11. Children's Privacy
Intruder Snap is not designed for children and is not intended for use by children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Misuse of the App
Intruder Snap must be used only on a device owned by the user or where the user has clear authorization. The app must not be used for secret surveillance, stalking, harassment, or unlawful monitoring.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means the user accepts the updated policy.
